Preparation of parenterally administered and sterile compounded agents, including safety and legal considerations and the responsibility of the pharmacy technician. Examination of clean room and sterile processes for preparation of pharmacologic agents, IV fluid, Total Parenteral Nutrition preparation, and safe handling and preparation of cytotoxic agents. For Certified Pharmacy Technicians to advance their skills and knowledge to pursue more advanced clinical roles. Total of 27 hours lecture and 27 hours laboratory.
