SON1004L — Sonographic Hospital Procedures (AS)

Admission to program Corequisites: , , and SON1111 (with a grade of C or higher) An introduction to hospital protocol/procedures with a basic overview of the role of the sonographer in diagnostic imaging. Introduction to patient care skills applied to the role of a sonographer in an imaging department. An exploration of nursing care skills, scanning ergonomics, patient confidentiality, and communication skills with hospital personnel as applied to all areas of sonography. This class will include lab instruction and clinical site visits.
