HIM1000C — Introduction to Health Information Management (AS)
or HIM1610C (with a grade of C or higher) This course provides an overview of health information management careers and professional development. Emphasis will be on the role, purpose, and forms of medical records and related legal and ethical issues; basic employability skills; health delivery systems; and a foundation knowledge of health information functions.
