ETP1322C — Electrical Power System (AS)

This course teaches the science and provides an overview of electric power systems, including power generation, transmission, distribution and consumption. It introduces smart grid and demand-side management, including the benefits and impacts on utilities, energy policy and the environment. It covers the broad spectrum of sciences: electrical, mathematics, physics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid flow and communications. Lab component reinforces the concepts behind the modern electric grid, in particular related to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
