WELD2016 — Advanced Pipe Welding
This course will introduce students to GTAW and SMAW in restricted positions and simulators. Students will learn how to combo weld all sizes of piping in the 2G, 5G, and 6G positions on carbon steel, as well as stainless steel, meeting AWS, ASME, and API standards. This along with advanced pipefitting, an understanding of blueprints, and stringent testing will produce highly employable pipe welders with a good background in the pipe welding industry. Prerequisite: Earned Technical Certificate in Ozarka's Welding Technology program, equivalent learning credit from another institution or job-related experience, or permission of the instructor.
