WELD2006 — Advanced Shielded Metal Arc Welding
This course will introduce students to SMAW in a simulated environment, complex pipefitting, and more stringent testing. Students will establish the skills necessary to meet AWS, ASME, and API standards using the SMAW process in restricted positions and in a variety of simulators that mimic the positions one will find themselves in in the industrial welding field. Prerequisite: Earned Technical Certificate in Ozarka's Welding Technology program, equivalent learning credit from another institution or job-related experience, or permission of the instructor.
