MATH1003 — Math for Health Professions
This course provides instruction in dosage calculation using dimensional analysis as well as other means of calculation related to medication. Topics include; interpretation of drug labels, syringe types, conversions, fractions, decimals, percentages, reconstitution, mixing medications, IV flow rates, drip rates, interpretation of physician orders and transferring to Medication Administration Records, dispensing, and proper documentation of medications as well as the Patient Rights of Med Administration. Prerequisite: This course has placement test score requirements that must be met before being enrolled in the course.
