CRIM1023 — Introduction to Criminal Justice
This course is intended to expose the student to the workings of the criminal justice systems, exploring the historical development, current operations, and future trends of criminal justice. Emphasis will be placed on contemporary problems in the definition of law, the enforcement of law, strategies of policing, judicial systems, sentencing strategies, and correctional practices. Content includes not only practices in the United States but also other cultures and their systems of justice.
