IS415 — Informatics and Analytics
Studies the roles of informatics and analytics in today’s business environment and explores the trends that are related to big data. Uses data to support effective decision-making process in a wide range of business contexts. Topics include research methods in informatics; big data management and analytics; predictive analytics; recognizing data patterns and trends; and information ethics, law and policy. Through the use of case studies, students collaborate to research and present data-driven solutions to real-world problems. 0 or better. 4 hours Lecture, 2 hours Lab
