FILM201 — Documentary Filmmaking II

In this hands-on course students will immerse themselves in the production (principal photography) phase of their documentary film project. Students will practice all aspects of documentary production, including but not limited to: The art of the interview (both in terms of shooting and how to conduct the interview itself), proper lighting and composition, scheduling, shooting re-creation and b-roll footage to accompany their story, and how circular workflow will benefit their documentary film project. Prerequisite: FILM 200
