XCJ 6626 -- Hostage Negotiations for Criminal Justice 40 Contact hours (Offered as needed) This course is part of the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission Advanced Training Program. It is designed to qualify in-service law enforcement, correctional and correctional probation and patrol officers in the area of hostage negotiations to include an introduction to the problem, types of hostage situations, the formulation of policy, hostage negotiation principles, communications principles, intelligence gathering, abnormal behavior and participant performance exercises. FDLE approved course.
