XCE 6543 -- 3-Wheel Basic Rider Course 12 Contact Hours (Offered as needed) The primary goal of the 3-Wheel Basic Rider Course is to provide an introduction to the fundamentals of safe, responsible 3WMC riding. This includes the knowledge and skills for 3WMC operation on the streets and highways, and may lead to licensing depending on a state’s laws. Certified MSF Rider Coaches provide a low risk, positive learning environment. The 3-Wheel Basic Rider course is designed to prepare riders for entry into the complex world of traffic. It consists of classroom and on-3WMC instruction, and includes a variety of learning activities. Classroom experiences consist of four hours of Rider Coach-led discussions and the utilization of interactive multimedia. On 3WMC instruction consists of approximately eight hours of range time that is conducted on a paved area from street traffic.
