XCD0831 — CDL Class B
XCD 0831 CDL Class B 40 contact hours (offered as needed) This course prepares students for a Class B commercial driver’s license. The Class B commercial Drivers License is required to operate a single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 lbs. or heavier, such as garbage truck, dump truck, etc. No Trailer, to include a towed vehicle that is lighter than 10,000 lbs. Students explore vehicle safety, accident prevention, operating regulations, cargo handling, documentation procedures, pre-trip preparation, vehicle inspection, maintenance, service, control procedures, backing, coupling, uncoupling, maneuvering, road and hazardous driving skills, and licensing requirements.
