XAP 1250C - Introduction to CNC Machining 45 Contact Hours (Offered as Needed) The history and development of CNC (computer numerical control). Programming methods are reviewed with the emphasis of skills placed on programming, milling, drilling and turning M and G code preparation. Manual and computer assisted programming are also reviewed. Students will program, set up and operate full size CNC machines found in our manufacturing lab. Projects will be assigned to students with an expectation of performing these tasks on manufacturing equipment.
