XAP -- 0100, Introduction to Hospitality Management 45 Contact Hours (Offered as needed) This course is an overview of the hospitality industry and the many different segments of the hospitality and tourism segments are discussed. Scope, size, and industry trends are examined. Theories , examples, and industry case studies are used to provide students with examples of problem solving tools of management. Basic industry terminology and management concepts are studied. The important role of service is stressed.
