FIN 2100 - Personal Finance 3 Credit Hours (Fall, Spring) An overview of personal finance and goal setting including personal budgeting, credit, banking facilities, and the nature of investments. Students will utilize analytical skills and practical working knowledge to set realistic financial goals, prepare a manageable budget, and make decisions that will protect income, assets, credit rating, and retirement security. Topics covered include property & liability insurance, auto insurance, life insurance, health & disability insurance, investing, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, time value of money and retirement planning.
