This survey encompasses the constitutional, political, social and economic development of the United States since 1877. Particular emphasis will be placed on the rise of the United States as an industrial and world power. ● Interpret the ways in which the history of the United States informs current political, cultural, and social issues in relationship to global culture. ● Describe the people, events, and ideas that have shaped the United States from 1877 to present. ● Engage in historical analysis and interpretation through written and oral communication.
