EMTP 1204 - Paramedic Clinical II EMTP 1204 - Paramedic Clinical II Description During this clinical phase, students will perform advanced patient assessments on patients. Some of the skills performed include: Endotracheal intubations, IV, Medication administration, observe child birth, and other procedures covered in class. This time is performed in the hospital setting. Perform the acts necessary to function as a lead paramedic on the scene of a traumatic injury accident Formulate a care plan for a given trauma patient and execute that plan in a timely manner Interpret vital signs and other diagnostic information into a working patient diagnosis that will allow the student to provide lifesaving emergency care to that patient. Judge the patient care being given by First Responders and EMTs and determine the worthiness of that treatment. Apply a standard treatment plan as outlined in the Regional protocols for a given emergency situation on a real patient. Recognize scene hazards and patient hazards and create a plan of action to keep him/herself safe as well as the crew. General Education
