ELCT 2401L - Electrician Licensure IV ELCT 2401L - Electrician Licensure IV Description Electrician Licensure IV is for individuals in a Registered Apprenticeship or equivalent pathway leading to electrician licensure. Registered Apprentices have 432-576 hours of Related Technical Instruction [RTI] and 6,001-8,000 hours of documented On the Job Training [OJT] or On the Job Learning [OJL]. Electrician Licensure IV is a concurrent enrollment with Electrical Skills IV or equivalent to satisfy requirements for US DOL Registered Apprenticeship or equivalent electrician licensure pathway. ELCT 2401L requires licensure in the electrician trade supervised by a licensed Master Electrician. In this course the student will track their required OJT or OJL hours under the supervision of their licensed Master Electrician. • Demonstrate knowledge of basic electrical principles and terminology. • Identify and safely use common electrical tools and equipment. • Understand and apply relevant safety practices in electrical work. • Interpret electrical system drawings and specifications. • Install and repair various electrical fixtures, components and wiring with minimal supervision. • Apply mathematical calculations to electrical projects. • Perform basic electrical system maintenance and troubleshooting with minimal supervision. • Comply with relevant electrical codes and regulations.
