ELCT 1201L - Electrician Licensure I ELCT 1201L - Electrician Licensure I Description Electrician Licensure I is for individuals in a Registered Apprenticeship or equivalent pathway leading to electrician licensure. Registered Apprentices have 144 hours or less of Related Technical Instruction [RTI] and 2,000 hours or less of documented On the Job Training [OJT] or On the Job Learning [OJL]. Electrician Licensure I is a concurrent enrollment with Electrical Skills I or equivalent to satisfy requirements for US DOL Registered Apprenticeship or equivalent electrician licensure pathway. ELCT 1201L requires licensure in the electrician trade supervised by a licensed Master Electrician. In this course the student will track their required OJT or OJL hours under the supervision of their licensed Master Electrician. • Demonstrate knowledge of basic electrical principles and terminology. • Identify and safely use common electrical tools and equipment. • Understand and apply relevant safety practices in electrical work. • Interpret electrical system drawings and specifications. • Install and repair various electrical fixtures, components and wiring with high supervision. • Apply mathematical calculations to electrical projects. • Perform basic electrical system maintenance and troubleshooting with high supervision. • Comply with relevant electrical codes and regulations.
