DNTA 1113 - Clinical Dentistry DNTA 1113 - Clinical Dentistry Description This course provides an orientation to the dental profession with emphasis on the dental assistant, and includes historical information on the dental profession, basic information concerning education, and licensure of the dentist and hygienist. Introduces the ethical principles and laws that pertain to the state and national practice of dentistry. Focuses on medical and dental emergencies, the fundamental principles, skills, preventive measures, and knowledge to respond in various emergency situations that may arise in the dental office. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for the Health Care Provider training for certification is included. 3 Credit Hour(s)
