CISM 1223 - Photoshop CISM 1223 - Photoshop Description An introduction to the creation and editing of graphic images using Adobe Photoshop with emphasis placed on graphics for the web. Students will learn basic Photoshop tools and palettes and explore how to use different techniques to create and modify graphics. This course will not count toward the AAS in Graphic Design degree. Select portions of an image using Marquee tools, Lasso tools, Magic Wand tools, and the Extract function. Place and modify type (text) in graphic images to communicate a message and enhance visual appeal. Create special effects using filters. Apply layer masks to modify an image. Re-touch an image using cloning tools, spot healing, and patch tools. Optimize images for use on the web. Apply color theory to enhance an image by adjusting hue and saturation, levels, curves, and color channels. General Education
