BADM 2513 - Business Organization and Management BADM 2513 - Business Organization and Management Description This course teaches students how to think as managers and actively manage organizations and teams using effective practices around planning, decision making, organizational structure, culture, leadership, motivation, and communication. The course begins by addressing foundational management principles, including primary functions of managers and management and strategy types, and develops toward addressing more complex topics such as ethics, control, and global business management. Explain advantages of managing people well. Identify the components and considerations of strategic management. Identify common organizational structures and the advantages and disadvantages of each. Describe the purpose of HR management and its legal constraints. Explain how culture can be a competitive advantage. Describe methods of encouraging ethical behavior. General Education
