SOCI 2600 — Race, Class, and Ethnicity
This course explores the intersections of race, class, and ethnicity in shaping social identities, power dynamics, and inequalities in contemporary society. Through sociological theories and case studies, students will analyze how these categories are constructed and maintained and how they influence access to resources, opportunities, and social mobility. Topics include systemic racism, class stratification, immigration, and the impact of social policies on marginalized groups.
