WLDG 1421 - Introduction to Welding Fundamentals WLDG 1421 - Introduction to Welding Fundamentals 4 credit hours. Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours lecture and two hours of lab each week. An introduction to the fundamentals of equipment used in oxy-fuel and arc welding, including welding and cutting safety, basic oxy-fuel welding and cutting, basic arc welding processes and basic metallurgy.
