4 Credits This course is designed for students to gain practical knowledge of MIG/Flux core Dual Shield welding and associated tasks necessary for a Commercial/Industrial environment. The course incorporates the principles of MIG welding, Oxygen/Acetylene cutting of metals, preparation of various weld joints, and general welding test positions. This course will assist students in the fundamentals of welding and general shop safety, as well as the care and maintenance of the equipment. Upon completion of this course, the student should have the knowledge to aid them in getting a job in the industry. Curriculum for this course is based on the American Welding Society and coordinated with their standards. Course Level
