NUR1201 — Critical Thinking Applications II
1 Credits The focus of Critical Thinking Applications II is to practice application of clinical decision making skills in simulated medical-surgical patient care situations. Exemplars will be used to enhance nursing skills for patient care, within the nursing process format, and will be utilized to stimulate the student to think critically, problem solve, and make clinical decisions while applying the principles of patient centered care, quality and safety standards, and evidence based practice guidelines. The students will synthesize knowledge and skills from NUR 1001 Critical Thinking Applications I and NUR 1109 NUR 1109 - Nursing Process I are reinforced and related to new content and skills. ^ LPN to RN only - BIOL 2224 BIOL 2224 - Anatomy & Physiology I* , BIOL 2234 BIOL 2234 - Anatomy & Physiology II* , CHEM 1104 CHEM 1104 - Chemistry For Non-Majors* , MATH 1123 MATH 1123 - College Algebra* , all passed with a grade of “C” or better. Pre or Withdrawal from NUR 1201 Critical Thinking Applications II results in withdrawal from NUR 1209 Nursing Process II . ^ LPN to RN only - NUR 1209 Nursing Process II and NUR 1302 Current Concepts In Nursing .
