3 Credits Private instrument instruction consists of principles of technical performance on the instrument, performance practice (style) as related to relevant musical literature, and refinement of musical literacy required to interpret progressively challenging repertoire of the instrument. Repertoire and performance assignments will be based on the individual progress of the student. Lab Fee (GEO 3) Apply instructor’s suggested modifications to technique in all aspects of performance. (GEO 2, 3) Build a beginning-level repertoire appropriate to the chosen instrument. (GEO 3) Research chosen repertoire. (GEO 1, 3) Perform compositions selected in collaboration between the instructor and student. (GEO 1, 3, 4)
