4 Credits Increased proficiency in hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and the collection of blood specimens. Responsibilities of the medical laboratory technician in the medical laboratory and total patient care. Lab Fee. (PLO 1,5,6) Interpret hematology methods in assessing and identifying blood disorders. (PLO 1,5,6). Summarize the principles of hematological procedures. (PLO 3,7) Demonstrate the ability to use medical literature, case study information and lab results in problem solving. (PLO 1) Apply principles of laboratory safety, including Universal/Standard Precautions. (PLO 6,9) Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in performance of all procedures and in interaction with co-workers and patients. (PLO 3,4,7,9) Demonstrate, to instructor’s satisfaction, a level of theoretical understanding and technical proficiency in all procedures. (PLO 1,2,6,9)
