3 Credits This course includes a review of elementary statistical concepts required for the computation and interpretation of hospital rates and percentages; calculating vital statistics; data display and report generation; with an introduction to research. Identify how statistics are used in healthcare. (PLO 4, 5, 9) 2. Define hospital-related healthcare statistical terms. (PLO 4, 9) 3. Utilize software to display healthcare data creating tables, charts, and graphs as appropriate. (PLO 1, 4, 5) 4. Calculate common healthcare facility statistics. (PLO 4, 5) 5.
