WLD 260 - Pre-Pipe Certification WLD 260 - Pre-Pipe Certification Min This course covers the principles and practices using welding procedure specifications for pipe welding to achieve pipe welding qualification. This will include the proper pipe layout, fit-up, pipe preparation, and welding techniques. The student will understand the welding procedure specifications, pipe welding terms and definitions. The student will demonstrate pipe welding acceptance criteria as related to the ASME Section IX welding code. Students will then apply welding procedure specification data, pipe procedures, and perform SMAW and GTAW to skill levels required to attempt a welder certification.
