ENG 217 - Introduction to Creative Writing ENG 217 - Introduction to Creative Writing Min A multi-genre writing course which explores poetry, fiction and drama. Students will write and workshop original works and learn the basics of craft for each area, including: imagery, meter/form, character, metaphor, dialogue, story, setting, and voice. Reading selections emphasize contemporary and historical writers, and students develop a writing portfolio of revised creative works across three genres. Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 Prerequisite(s): ENG 111 with “C” or better
