PNV 1634 - Alterations In Adult Health Theory PNV 1634 - Alterations In Adult Health Theory 4 Credit Hours This course provides the student with basic nursing theory and skills to provide safe and effective care for a client experiencing an alteration in health in the following systems: vascular; respiratory; sensory and integumentary; musculoskeletal; gastrointestinal; blood, lymphatic and immunosuppressive; urinary; reproductive; endocrine; and neurological. The systems not covered in this course are taught in Medical/Surgical Nursing ( PNV 1614 ).Pharmacological and nutrition therapy, as well as oncological considerations, for various disorders is included. Concurrent registration in PNV 1642 is required. A passing grade in PNV 1634 and PNV 1642 is required in order to progress in the practical nursing program. If a passing grade is not maintained, both courses must be repeated concurrently upon re-admission.
