PLMB 1103 — Valves and Water Heaters

This course covers chapters 12 and 13 which provides foundational knowledge in key plumbing systems and components. Students will explore the parts and functions of plumbing valves, including stems, seats, washers, and seals, along with the materials commo nly used in their construction, such as brass, stainless steel, and rubber. The course also covers the operation and maintenance of various water heating systems, including electrical storage water heaters with heating elements, energy-efficient tankless water heaters, and environmentally friendly solar water heaters. By the end of the course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of these essential plumbing systems and their applications.
