OCSH2400 — Fire Protection and Prevention
This course provides an in-depth exploration of fire prevention programs, focusing on fire inspection, code enforcement, and the application of model building standards and codes. Students will examine the legal, economic, and political aspects of the fire inspection process, as well as the essential components of plans review and public education initiatives. Emphasis is placed on understanding regulatory practices, fire-resistant construction materials, and the procedures for ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings with fire codes.
