ATO 230 - Hybrid Vehicles ATO 230 - Hybrid Vehicles Lecture: 2 | Lab: 2 Explores different mechanical layouts of hybrid powertrains and the energy management systems that control the hybrid powertrain modes and battery charging and discharging. The inter-relationship of performance and complexity in the powertrain is explored along with the sizing of powertrains from micro, mild, full hybrids, and plug-in hybrids. Prerequisite: ATO 116 or instructor permission
