The course also introduces concepts essential to the performance and interpretation of echocardiography, exercise physiology, stress testing and Holter monitoring. The course focuses on normal anatomy, transesophageal echocardiography, systolic and diastolic dysfunction, coronary anatomy, and cardiomyopathies. Laboratory exercises include instrumentation, application, assessment, and review. Lab sessions provide extended practice.
