Continued focus will be placed on nursing care concepts, critical thinking, clinical judgment, and decision-making in care of the adult client. The exploration of chronic health conditions and understanding of the nursing process are emphasized. Students will apply the roles and responsibilities of the developing nurse, collaborating with the healthcare team to plan evidence-based care using the nursing process. Concentration is placed on basic human needs, restoration of wellness, therapeutic communication, health maintenance, and promotion.
