Extensive emphasis is placed on meeting basic human needs, restoration of wellness, health maintenance, and promotion. Critical thinking, therapeutic communication, client teaching, developmental level tasks, cultural influences, and ethical/legal issues of nursing practice are also integrated throughout the course.
