RT160 — Radiographic Procedures II and Pharmacology
Expand knowledge base to perform standard radiographic procedures along with the application to special studies. Compare and contrast radiographic images while illustrating the importance of optimal imaging standards, discussion of a problem-solving technique for image evaluation and the factors that can affect image quality. Focused primarily on procedures of the head, contrast studies, trauma, pediatric, operating room procedures, mobile and additional diagnostic procedures. Recognize basic concepts of pharmacology, venipuncture and administration of diagnostic contrast agents and intravenous medications. The appropriate delivery of patient care during these procedures is emphasized. Actual images will be included for analysis with lab-based experiences augmenting course learning.
