RN200 — Leadership in Nursing
Facilitates the transition of the student to the role of a professional nurse in a variety of healthcare delivery systems. Emphasis is on contemporary issues and management concepts, as well as on developing the skills of delegation, teamwork, collaboration, advocacy, and leadership. Topics of community health with a focus on social determinants of health, population health, and health equity to support safe, quality nursing practice is included. Legal, ethical issues, and standards of professional nursing practice are discussed with a focus on personal accountability and responsibility.
