MF115 — Introduction to Manual Machining

An introduction to fundamental concepts and procedures necessary for the safe and efficient use of basic machining equipment. Topics include: machine shop safety, identification of machining equipment and their associated accessories, application of feed rate and tool speed calculations. An understanding of print reading and precision measurement is recommended for quality checks of parts produced throughout this course.
