Application of oxy-fuel cutting, carbon arc cutting, plasma arc cutting, shielded metal arc welding, and gas metal arc welding in the maintenance field. Identification of common weld discontinuities and diagnosis of cause. Equipment settings and set-up, proper electrode selection, shielding gas selection, and four basic modes of wire transfer.
