MFG102 — Machine Shop Technology Level 2 (3 credit hours)

An exploration of how work holding, material, and cutting tools change the spindle speed and feed rates during machine operation. An emphasis is placed on learning how to utilize cutter compensation in order for custom tools to perform accurately in the CNC machine. Students will learn how to accurately determine requisite spindle speeds and feed rates and how to report to the programmer what was successful in each setup, as well as any problems that may have occurred during machine operation. ) Master Syllabi: Master Syllabi
