MFG100 — Machine Shop Technology Foundation Level (3 credit hours)
Introduces basic responsibilities of a CNC operator. With a focus on safety, personal accountability, communication, preventative maintenance, and understanding manufacturing process planning when working with CNC machines, students will be prepared to begin machine operation. Emphasis is placed on proficiency in basic power-up, machine controls, communication with CNC programmer, part set-up, tool set-up, program activation and proofing for the CNC machine.
