ART 2203 - Painting I ART 2203 - Painting I This course presents a creative approach to painting including preparation of canvas, and other painting surfaces, color mixing, brush handling, and a range of techniques as applied to a variety of themes and subject matter. Students will spend the first half of the semester learning the fundamentals of painting, with the focus of the second half of the semester on creative expression. The class will use watercolor paints and slow drying acrylic paints. . Lecture 3 hours per week.
