MUSC 1157 — Class Piano 1

The essential keyboard skills in sight reading, harmonization, improvisation, technique, memorization, scales, chord progressions and transposition are developed through group classroom instruction. These skills are required for the Music Theory, Ear Training, Music History and most professional careers in music. This course is intended for music majors or minors and beginning musicians with music experience. The curriculum is directed toward the completion of the Piano Proficiency Exam.
