Supporting wellness and reducing preventable health risks are central responsibilities of the community health worker. CHWs do this through education, resource coordination, coordination, cultural guidance, addressing social factors that affect health, and linking clients to services and support. Through interactive activities, students develop practical skills they can apply directly in community and workplace settings.
