Essential theoretical perspectives, including cognitive, humanistic, socio-cultural, psychodynamic, learning, and biological/evolutionary inform an understanding of key topics in psychology, among which may include the brain and behavior, development, emotion, memory, motivation, personality, psychological disorders, sensation and perception, thinking, and intelligence. Upon completion, students will be well prepared for more advanced study in the field of contemporary psychology.
