801234 — Grant Writing Community Funds
This course is designed for mastering phases of the grant writing and funding process, a prized employability skillset. Students develop a clear and concise mock grant application by identifying needs/problems to address, putting ideas into appropriate language, and using persuasive writing. Searching grant markets for potential funders, relationship cultivation, and building a grant budget will also be highlighted. Group discussion and peer feedback will enhance student learning on the grant process and its way of helping others in modern workplaces and service causes. *Can replace Composition I, with a placement test score of 100+, within associate of art or science English requirements.
